2nd Annual Stuff the Shed

Seabury’s Age-In-Place® program coordinates volunteers to provide free yard work and house cleaning services to older adults living in Washington’s Wards 4, 5, and 6. Help Seabury’s Age-In-Place® continue its important work by stuffing our shed with yard work and house cleaning supplies. Donations (such as trash bags, weed wackers, garden gloves, loppers, lawnmowers, or other supplies) are greatly appreciated.

Brett Schaffer, Age-In-Place®/Outreach Manager, notes, “To keep the Age-In-Place Program® (AIP) completely free for older adults we bring all cleaning and yard work supplies with us on each service project. The supplies we provide include everything from lawn mowers and vacuums down to gloves and trash bags. The Stuff the Shed event is an important way for AIP to keep providing these services at no cost. Last year was AIP’s first Stuff the Shed event and we received over $1,400 worth of donated supplies. This year we are looking to do even more!”

Contributions may be dropped off at Frager’s Hardware (1230 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, Washington, D.C.) on April 25 from 9 am to 2 pm or donations may be collected at your local congregation or workplace and dropped off at Seabury’s Age-In-Place® office at 2501 18 Street NE in Washington, D.C.
