Seabury Resources for Aging welcomes Alexandrea Rich as its new Director of Home First Residences and Age-In-Place® Program.
As the former Director of Social Services for the Georgetown Assisted Living Facility, she brings experience in gerontological case management and residential care coordination. Her previous work at the Edgewood/Brookland Family Support Collaborative equipped her to serve both Wards 5 and 6 in advocacy, program monitoring, implementation, community development, and grant writing. Alexandrea also has experience in public policy, process evaluation, and group facilitation.
She holds a Bachelors Degree in English (Spelman College), Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies (Georgia State University), Masters of Arts in Religious Studies (Howard University School of Divinity), and Masters of Social Work (Howard University School of Social Work). She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sociology with specialization in social inequalities and medical sociology at Howard University. Outside of her professional and academic endeavors, Alexandrea is vegan and enjoys traveling, music and film.
