Foam is no longer a part of dining in DC! Seabury at Friendship Terrace joins the “DC FOAM FREE EARTH DAY CELEBRATION with a special presentation by Lillian Power on Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 PM. Ms. Power is an Environmental Protection Specialist with the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment . As EARTH DAY is observed worldwide, Ms. Power will look why going “Foam Free” was important for DC to adopt and its value for generations to come. The “DC FOAM FREE EARTH DAY CELEBRATION” at Friendship Terrace is FREE and open the public to attend.
“DC Streetcars!,” a Tenleytown Historical Society presentation at Friendship Terrace Retirement Community Thursday, April 28
John De Farrari, author of “Capital Streetcars: Early Mass Transit in Washington, DC”, will present “DC Streetcars” with a particular look at Tenleytown. As the new streetcars are now rolling again in Washington, DC, DeFarrari will look at what preceded today’s options for public transportation in the District. The program is free beginning at 7:30 PM on Thursday, April 28th and is open to the public. Reservations are required.
